A Night of Stories, Music and Friendship at Auld Pals

There’s something incredibly special about an event that feels genuinely personal, and that was exactly the feeling at the Auld Pals event.

Hosted by Lauren Mitchell, Auld Pals brought together a packed audience for an evening of laughter, storytelling, music and conversation. It was a celebration of friendship, shared experiences and some of the brilliant personalities and stories Scotland has to offer. The aim for the night was simple: to create something warm, funny and informal, where the guests could relax, the audience could feel involved and the conversation could go wherever it wanted to.

Drawing on her experience in broadcasting and live events, Lauren led the conversations, brought out stories from the guests and kept the evening moving without making it feel overly structured. For Lauren, that is a huge part of the appeal of hosting live events. It is not just about what happens on stage, but about creating a connection between the guests and everyone in the room.

Speaking after the event, Lauren said:

“Auld Pals had such a brilliant atmosphere from the moment it started.

There were so many funny and unexpected moments throughout the night and that’s what I love about live events. When everyone feels comfortable and the audience feels part of it, you can create something really special.”

Auld Pals is also a great example of more of what we need in Scotland! It was a fantastic evening with such a brilliant cast, a great crowd and Lauren would love to do it all over again!
